Description - This perennial grows in the wild, reaching one to three feet in height. It blooms June through August, after which it produces small black seeds. Its botanical root name, Hyperieum, is from ancient Greek, meaning "over an apparition" because it was thought the herb was so vile to cause evil spirits to fly away.
