This practice is often referred to as earthing, or grounding. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earthing involves direct contact with the Earth\u2019s surface, and some theories suggest it may help support overall well-being through subtle electrical interactions between the body and the ground. Many people incorporate earthing into their routines as a simple way to spend more time outdoors and feel more connected to nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The science behind it is a bit more complicated having to do with electrons. The theory is that the earth has a slightly negative charge to it; our bodies a slightly positive charge. Stand, sit or walk with your bare feet in the grass, sand or dirt for about 30 minutes. Then compare your level of comfort at the start and at the end. You\u2019ll probably feel good, more comfortable, happier, lighter.
