Benefits of Passion Flower Herb Liquid Extract

  • Fosters relaxation
  • Works to ease stress, naturally
  • Alcohol free
There are hundreds of Passion Flowers, mainly native to the tropics of Central and South America.  The botanical name is passiflora incarnata and passiflora caerulea. Common names include Purple Passion Flower, Flower of the Five Wounds, Maypop and Blue Passion Flower. Some of the vine-like species grow to thirty feet with two-inch ornamental flowers and edible berries. Early Spanish explorers marveled at the beauty of the flower that was reminiscent of the Passion and Crucifixion of Jesus, hence the name.

Relaxes, Calms and Soothes
For centuries, the Passion Flower was prized by Native Americans for its ability to relax, calm and induce sleep. Typically steeped in a tea, it was also used for bruising on the skin. Passion Flower was recognized in the early 20th century for anxiety and mood. Today it is still commonly used in Europe for irritability, restlessness and tension.

Fast Acting and Easy to Swallow
Liquid extracts work faster and more completely than other forms of supplementation. There are no pills to swallow, no herbs to press or tea to steep, and liquid nutrients are absorbed quickly. Other advantages of liquid extracts include their ability to preserve active constituents, their long shelf life, and convenience. Just add them to water, tea or juice and enjoy a tasty, nutritional boost at home, work, or on-the-go.
