Benefits of Mullein Leaf Liquid Extract

  • High-quality extract
  • Traditional herb for respiratory health
  • Alcohol free

This woolly plant lives for two years and displays large, hairy leaves. During its second year, it sprouts a tall stem with yellow flowers and grows to about four feet in height. Ancient cultures, including Greece and India, have used the leaves, flowers and roots for a variety of health concerns. Colonists introduced the herb to North American where it was quickly adopted by the indigenous people. A member of the Scrophulariaceae family, which also includes eyebright and foxglove, its botanical name is Verbascum thapsus and common names include candlewick, bunny's ears, velvet dock, flannel plant, and lungwort.

Comforts and Soothes Respiratory Tract

Over the years, mullein has been used to make candle wicks, to protect individuals against evil spirits, and even as a remedy for boils found on domestic animals. In the 18th century it became prized for its ability to comfort throats and the respiratory system.

Fast Acting and Easy to Swallow

Liquid extracts work faster and more completely than other forms of supplementation. There are no pills to swallow, no herbs to press or tea to steep, and liquid nutrients are absorbed quickly. Other advantages of liquid extracts include their ability to preserve active constituents, their long shelf life, and convenience. Just add them to water, tea or juice and enjoy a tasty, nutritional boost at home, work, or on-the-go.
